Cellular phone Service by Private Sector of Pakistan begins in Azad Kashmir

MIRPUR (AJK): Pakistan’s most favorite and much admired cellular network Mobilink which has the top-most clientage which has gone over 11 million in the country has launched its service in Mirpur from Saturday, it was officially learnt here. 

Mobilink is the first private-sector cell phone company which launched its service from the mid last night in Mirpur, Azad Jammu Kashmir and other stipulated areas falling in its jurisdiction. 

Private-sector mobile telephone companies have planned to launch their respective services in Mirpur after the government granted permission to the private cell phone providers to launch their respective services in Mirpur and other parts of this division comprising Mirpur, Kotli and Bhimbher districts in response to the persistent demand of the population of the area. 

With the premier Mobilink atop, private-sector mobile telephone companies were first allowed to launch their respective services in the October- deadly quake-hit districts of Azad Kashmir including Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Rawalakot and Neelam valley for ensuring quick link of AJK with rest of the world through the cell phone – after the mobile phone service was direly needed soon after the massive loss of men and material caused by South 
Asia’s largest catastrophe. 

More cell phone companies including U-Phone and Telenor are reportedly preparing for launching their respective mobile services in Mirpur division in response to the long cherished demand of the local population for the provision of all kinds of mobile phone services across Azad Kashmir including in Mirpur division. 

Over seven lakh out of about a million Pakistani immigrants, settled in United Kingdom, belong to Mirpur division and they including local population were willing to enjoy the most suitable cell phone service for their frequent quick link with their dear ones to and from this part of the world. 

Public-sector mobile telephone service – S.Com is already providing mobile phone service in various parts of AJK including Mirpur and Muzaffarabad. •
